Select Surface Slim Pen to pair your pen. Press and hold the top button of your pen for 5-7 seconds until the LED light flashes white to turn on Bluetooth pairing mode. Select Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Devices > Add devices > Bluetooth. Use Bluetooth to pair your pen to a Surface. If you have a Surface Pro X, you can automatically connect your Slim Pen by writing on the screen. Make sure it's plugged directly to your device, then select Start > Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates. Note: If the pen light blinks amber and white and the pen doesn't charge when placed in the charger, you need to update the charger.
